ANOTHER SOURCE TO BUY FABRICS

So, as I said before - sewing was something I did out of need in my late teens and I never thought I would do it again. But...

It all started with me and my friend going to the Humane Society Thrift Shop in Boulder (check it out if you are in the area) and I saw those wonderful tapestry samples books for $1-$2 each. I had no idea what I was going to do with them so I did not buy them. And it was haunting me (you know how it works, right?). And the very next day - I was there. And after that it was just a chain reaction tapestry samples-sewing machine from craigslist-fabrics-Singer sewing matching.

If you buy fabrics you know how expensive it could be. But do you know, that your local second hand store is a wonderful place to buy it? These are just some pieces I got there. Lovely, aren't they?

This are close up of some of my favorites (and trust me, these are not all).

This piece is 2.5 yards long and cost me $2.99, I had to buy it. But I have no idea what I can do with it... Beach cover up? Any suggestions?

And this is how I store my fabrics. I tried to fold them in a box - did not work. So, thankfully I have an empty closet... BTW, everything to the right from the hanger with faux fur came from second hand stores.
Old T-shirts are waiting to be made into a blanket. And my favorites - old coffee bags.
